Houstonians have yet another reason to flock to the bustling plaza at CITYCENTRE this summer, as husband-and-wife team, and Memorial residents, John and Carly Whitehurst announced they are opening the Board Room, a relaxed wine bar, cafe and retailer at 800 Sorella Court.

Houston’s bustling CITYCENTRE mixed-use development will soon be home to a new wine bar. Slated to open in the next couple of weeks, The Board Room is a wine bar, cafe, and gourmet grocer that will sell cheese and charcuterie boards.

The Board Room, 800 Sorella, is shooting to open between late July and early August. The new wine bar and gourmet charcuterie destination comes from married couple Carly and John Whitehurst who are residents of the Memorial area. The duo have brought in hospitality veteran Scott Sulma of May I Speak Hospitality as consultant. The wine cafe will have a Level II Sommelier who does double duty as the general manager. The support staff will also be well-versed in wine and pairings.

Local lovers of fine wine and light bites will soon have a new restaurant to check out in the booming CityCentre mixed-use development in west Houston.
